Kylie Hayes
Kylie Hayes started with Traffic Management & Control Ltd (TMC Ltd) in June 2011 and has gained a wide range of experience in the industry from the ground up. At TMC Ltd, she’s done everything from traffic management plans and quotes, to retail sales, invoicing, and even been at the other end of a stop/go paddle or helping with event traffic management.
Kylie is a Site Traffic Management Supervisor (STMS) Level 1. She also has a Bachelor of Commerce and Diploma for Graduates from Otago University. Before TMC Ltd, Kylie spent several years in business administration, working across payroll, accounts, tax and staff management.
Kylie’s organisational skills and initiative make her a real asset to the TMC Ltd management team. If she doesn’t know something, she is always prepared to go and find the answer. She is always looking for ways to improve the systems and processes of the business and make TMC Ltd the best it can be. Kylie believes it’s important to always be fair in a leadership role. Kylie believes in never asking staff to do something that she wouldn’t be prepared to undertake herself.
Seeing positive results for TMC Ltd from having input into high level management decision making, along with the other senior staff, gives Kylie a great sense of satisfaction. The team at TMC Ltd are such a great bunch of people, who support each other, even when it comes to crunch time. Seeing what the team at TMC Ltd are achieving as a company is incredibly rewarding.
Outside of work, Kylie sings with the Cantores Choir. Most weekends, you will find her volunteering at the Orokonui Ecosanctuary, which has also been a great spot for igniting a passion in wildlife photography.
